Family boundaries get easier to state once you can see which zone each topic belongs in: MY CHOICE (how you raise your kids, your relationship choices), THEIR CHOICE (how they run their home, the advice they give each other), and SHARED (visits, holidays, traditions - negotiated). The map walks you through parents, in-laws, and siblings topic by topic, then gives you your map as copyable text.
Work one relationship at a time and answer with how things actually are this season. When you hesitate between MY CHOICE and SHARED, ask who lives with the consequences: consequences that land on your household are your choice; consequences that land on theirs are theirs; consequences that land on both get negotiated.
Pick the single topic where the gap between the current reality and your marked zone is largest, and state it as a request about your participation. If a mapped conversation involves fear, coercion, or monitoring, that is beyond boundary work - see the safety page.
A personal worksheet: for each family relationship and each recurring topic, you mark whether the topic is your choice, their choice, or shared.
No. The map lives in your browser tab's memory only - nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
A map defines what you want; it cannot enforce it. If a zone marked MY CHOICE keeps getting overridden, the next step is a stated boundary with a consequence you control.
The family-interference guide covers the problem patterns. This map is the personal tool producing your own zones, topic by topic.
