Direct Answer: A relationship boundary describes what you will do with your own time, body, privacy, money, attention, or participation. For example: 'If name-calling starts, I'll end the conversation and come back later.' A request asks the other person to change; a shared agreement is chosen by both people; a controlling rule tells the other person what they are allowed to do.
Use these as structures, not scripts you have to copy. A workable boundary names a situation and a next action you control. If the sentence only tells the other person what they must do, rewrite it as a request, agreement, or action you can take yourself.
Compare the verb. 'You cannot see your friends' controls someone else's choice. 'If our plans keep changing without notice, I'll make my own plans' controls your response. A request can still be useful, and an agreement can set a shared rule, but both require the other person's real choice.
A healthy boundary stays about your own actions and leaves the other person's choice intact. It becomes controlling when it dictates what they must do. 'I'll leave the room if voices get raised' is a boundary. 'You're not allowed to raise your voice' is control.
